2-Day Fine Art Compositing Workshop – Peterborough

April 22nd to 23rd, Peterborough, Ontario

Take your photography to the next level, whether that is creating surreal pieces of fine art, or simply improving your final images through compositing different backgrounds or points of focus. Compositing makes your images truly unique.

Level: Beginner to Intermediate

In this 2-day Live Workshop we will cover every aspect necessary to complete your final composition. Including;

• o Backgrounds and textures
• o Shooting locations and people for compositions
• o Proper Lighting for realistic final results
• o Working with Models to create your masterpiece
• o Post production – putting your images all together (Photoshop)
• o Ready for Print (RFP) training

Plan to participate. The goal of the workshop will be to complete a work of art created by you! This means we will be shooting backgrounds, working with professional models, and editing in photoshop – all in preparation for your final masterpiece, ready for print.
EQUIPMENT SUGGESTIONS: A sturdy tripod is a necessity for good compositions. Participants should have a working knowledge of their equipment (know which button does what!) before the workshop. For editing please bring a laptop with Adobe Photoshop installed. Trial versions are available here. 

BONUS TRAINING (optional)

Wednesday April 19th:
If you have not used Photoshop before, or would like to have a brush up, there will be a bonus training on the Wednesday prior to the workshop for all registered students. The training will be via webinar and cover Photoshop basics.

Friday April 21st:
Walkabout. Join George on the evening before the workshop to do a local walkabout. Shooting textures and scouting locations for Saturdays shooting.
